About New Genesis:
New Genesis, is as the name implies, a new beginning for the senior high youth group at Good Shepherd. We focus on youth taking greater roles in the church to help create a more "youth friendly" atomosphere. New Genesis welcomes all youth interested in learning about the Bible and having fun. We are excited to work with other youth groups of different denominations and would love for you to contact us about any events going on in your church. Past/Upcoming events in New Genesis:
November 29th 10:45 a.m. Good Shepherd and New Genesis will have their third contemporary service. A praise and worship band will help lead the worship as well as the youth of the church. All are invited to come. The sermon topic is "Body Parts" and will be delivered by Tony Cosentino. We have finished painting the youth room and have plans to make more changes in the future. Anyone who wants to help is invited. Sunday August 9, 2009 - The second contemporary service went very well and the church is excited for another. Keep checking back to see when the next one will be. Saturday June 27, 2009 - A busy day for New Genesis. We will be painting the youth room around 11:30 am as well as listening to music and eating food. After we get clean up we will be heading over to Cornerstone Church in the North Hills of Pittsburgh for an all nighter filled with food, games, bowling, laser tag, and fun as well as time to fellowship and come closer to Christ. Sunday May 17, 2009 10:45 am - Youth Sunday/Contemporary Service - We are excited to announce the first contemporary service at Good Shepherd which will be lead by the church youth. New Christian music as well as a sermon geared toward today's youth and culture. April - Meeting - The youth of New Genesis will meet to discuss upcoming events. Wednesday February 25, 2009 - Visit to Cornerstone Church in the North Hills - Fellowship and fun with the youth of 180 Degrees Youth during their weekly meeting. |
