There are many active groups in Good Shepherd to take participate in. Some of them include:
Church Council
Meets one wednesday a month to plan how the church will run and vote on important church issues. Contact the church council or Pastor John for more information.
Sunday School
Meets every Sunday at 9:30 before church during the school year. Children will learn about the Bible with other children their age from adult volunteers in the church.
Confirmation Class
Youth around the eighth grade meet with Pastor John in preparation for becoming adults within the church.
Women's Group
A group of women in the church who have taken a leadership role and provide various services and events throughout the year.
Men's Group
A group of men in the church who have taken a leadership role and provide various services and events throughout the year.
Adult Bible Study
Meets with Pastor on Sunday morning before church. Contact Pastor John for more information
Music and Worship Group
Meets once a month to dicuss the musical selections for service. Contact the music and worship group or Pastor John for more information.
Choir
Meets every Sunday before church and leads the church in song during worship. Contact the music and worship group for more information.
Assistant Pastors
Assist the Pastor in the leading of the church service. Participants on a rotational schedule. Contact Secretary Jennifer Burkholder for details.
Greeters
Do you enjoy talking to others and making them feel welcome? Then become a greeter at the main entrance to the church.
Ushers
Provide a support role during worship by collecting the offering and helping with communion.
Acolytes
Youth that have not yet been confirmed provide a support role during worship by lighting the candles and assisting with offering and communion.
Vacation Bible School
Sunday school in the summer time. Contact the church council for more information.
Lutheran Club
Youth Group for younger children.
New Genesis Youth Group
Our awesome youth group for anyone in the 7th grade through college.
